Our Emeritus Principal Saul Silverman died on December 30, 2020 of pancreatic cancer. For over 40 years Saul was immersed in architecture with a wonder of a child in each of us. Always exploring and creating, reaching for the unknown and better, Saul designed Manassas Shopping Mall, Harriman Commons, Levittown Town Center, Christmas Tree Shops, and so many other places we have all visited and enjoyed. He was best known for his beautifully whimsical houses for so many Rockland and Westchester families.
Born in Brooklyn on April 23, 1941, he was a long-time resident of New City and Nyack, NY. He graduated top of his class from Pratt Institute. A noted business person and arts lover, Saul served as President of the Nyack Chamber of Commerce and as a trustee of the Helen Hayes Performing Arts Center. Saul was a passionate sailor and skier, a car aficionado, and a true friend. He will be deeply missed by our firm, his wife Ellen and his family.
