Located in the heart of the village of Tuckahoe and founded in 1853, the Church of the Assumption Parish is one of the oldest Catholic Churches in Westchester County. The church embarked on an Interior renovation of this historic church. DCAK-MSA worked closely with the parish in an attempt to restore the church to its original richness and artistic identity. The sanctuary and stations of cross were restored to their former glory by introducing new painting and decorative stenciling. The existing ill-fitting floor tiles were replaced by new terrazzo flooring that accentuated the new interiors. The nave ceiling was repainted and the decorative paint restored to replicate the original church Interiors. The damaged statues were restored and liturgical furnishing upgraded with marble finishes. After the extensive interior renovation, the church now sits in the neighborhood, exuding its spiritual radiance upon the masses that patrons the church.
