Cedar Hill LOCATION Livingston, NJ SIZE 8,000 square feet
Cedar Hill’s 50 year old clubhouse was in dire need of both a functional & aesthetic upgrade. The painted plywood ex‐ terior & the dark, worn column filled interiors did not compliment the stunning hilltop golf course or the upscale mem‐ bership. The recommendations of an extensive Master Plan study calling for major renovations of both the interior lay‐ out & décor, & the exterior of the clubhouse were approved. Improvements were completed in 3 phases over 2 sea‐ sons, minimizing disruption of the club’s activities. The exterior was given an entirely new look with new roofs, siding & windows on all sides. A new roof & colonnaded extension provided a large vaulted ballroom without columns & a new grill room & kitchen. Two new bar lounges, a new patio, new entry lobby & large five car entry canopy completed the transformation. When improvements were completed member use & events at the club increased dramatically, & the membership waiting list doubled.
