Albany Country Club LOCATION Voorheesville, NY SIZE 44,000 square feet
The Albany Country Club clubhouse was built in the early 1960’s with an elegant classical exterior and a Spar‐ tan interior, largely devoid of ornamentation. The club was in need of expansion and an upgrade of the outdated interiors. A master plan was approved calling for extensive renovations and expansions. Three separate dining room additions were added, including a new Formal Dining Room and a new full service kitchen. After completion of the project, member use and events at the club increased substantially and the membership waiting list more than doubled. This project was de‐ signed by Senior Architect Brian Aitchison with his previous firm.
