An addition to a 1960’s‐era parish center, consisting of eight classrooms and a multi‐purpose room, softens the stark volumes of the original building and creates an improved entry sequence. The parish center will The University of Connecticut’s renovation of approximately 1,245 square feet on the first floor of the Foundations Building included program space reconfiguration, and interior finishes upgrades. The renovation provided three acoustically private workspaces, and incorporated biophilic design principles, new and reconfigured lighting and controls, HVAC modifications, relocated or new power receptacles, and plumbing for coffee machines and a refrigerator.
